The Perfect Getaway with the Kids
There’s swimming in summer, fishing all year and catching everything from tadpoles to yabbies. Try canoeing or take a bushwalk. Count kangaroos, make rock art or skim stones across the river (mind the birds!). Then there are the classics like campfire marshmallows, board games, bikes and cards. We also offer horse and pony rides. There are always other kids to meet and hang with – plus plenty of places they can charge their devices for a little screen time after all the outdoor action.
Learn to Make a Fire (Safely)
Let the kids help gather sticks and build the campfire (with your help, of course!)—it’s a great way to teach survival skills and fire safety.
Bike Riding
Bring your favourite bikes and explore the trails together – perfect for little adventurers with endless energy and big smiles. (BYOB – bring your own bike. Bikes are not provided on-site)
Gold Panning
Borrow a pan from the Manager’s Cabin and head to the river for a treasure hunt – you never know what shiny surprises are waiting in the water!
Rock Painting
Collect some different coloured rocks and use water to make a paste on another rock to make different coloured non-toxic face/body paints.
Swimming
Nothing beats a splash in the river or creek to cool down after a day in the sun – just keep it safe. Feel free to bring your own water toys too!
Bushwalking
Use the maps we provide and follow the trails with snacks and curiosity; you’ll spot bugs, birds, and maybe even a wombat!
Hide and Seek
Classic game, but with trees and tents for hiding spots, it’s way more exciting outdoors.
Stand-up Paddle Boarding
Horse Riding
Saddle up for a memorable experience, with gentle lead rides for little ones and guided rides for older kids to explore the bush in a fun and safe way.
